Engineering Entrepreneurship Course
Host the full class of 53 City Scholars in your office for a lecture on the fundamental concepts of
entrepreneurship and commercialization of new technology in new and existing businesses. This
signature City Scholars class allows company partners to share your technologies and engineering
process with students. All City Scholars students are required to participate.

Extracurricular Cohort Activities
Enhance student’s understanding of Chicago’s tech community by hosting an optional outing. These
partial group events range from 10-40 students and can be hosted at your office or throughout Chicago.
Students are required to attend 5 events during their City Scholars semester.
Host a small group of students at your office for a tour, tech talk or networking session.
Event time: Fridays from 2:00-3:30pm

Host a small group of students at your office or a restaurant in the loop with company executives for small group mentoring.

Chicago Cultural Cohort Experiences
Share your love of Chicago with City Scholars students by hosting a visit to an iconic Chicago place or
event. These partial group events range from 10-40 students and help students learn what it is like to live
in Chicago long term.
• Partial group activity – 10-40 students
• Arrange a visit to a sporting event, performance, museum or neighborhood tour for our students
and a few staff from your company
• City Scholars staff can help with logistics but companies provide tickets or food if required.
• Events should not include alcohol or be based around alcohol consumption
Dates are flexible based on your calendar, weeknights are preferred.
